Beverly J. Debbe, born Hansen on December 25, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on July 23, 2025, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in her beloved hometown. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
Bev is survived by her loving son, David (Pattianne) Opperman, and her cherished daughters, Rebecca (James Etzel) Opperman, Dawn (Rick Folsom) Debbe, and Nicole (Paul) Nungester; her loving grandchildren, Jessica (Mike) Blankenship, Patricia Nickols, Kristine (Steven) Echard, Allison Nickols, Ainsley Nungester, Anna Nungester; and great- grandchildren, Guinevere, Lena, Philip, Josie Rose, and George. She shared a special bond with her brothers, Jim (Jenny) and Rick (Lindy) Hansen, who will remember her for her unwavering spirit and the laughter she brought into their lives.
Bev was a 1961 graduate of Rogers High School. She was one of the original charter members of the former NW Ohio Spina Bifida Assoc. parents group. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
After raising her children, Bev worked for over 20 years as a administrative assistant at UTMC. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Devil's Lake, Mi, the theater and taking day trips with friends.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Debbe, whose memory she treasured throughout her life. She was also preceded by her parents, Dorothy and Richard Hansen Sr., who instilled in her the values of love and compassion that she carried with her always.
Friends will be received at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 2:00-6:00 PM with a funeral service at 6:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made in Bev's name to the Ability Center, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, or to Spina Bifida Association.
