Bernard "Bud" William Adams

Bernard “Bud” William Adams, Jr., 72, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on June 15, 1953, to Bernard William Adams, Sr. and Dolores Nancy (Rockwell) Adams, Bud lived a life rich in love, laughter, and devotion to his family.

On December 29, 1979, Bud married the love of his life, Pat—his cherished “Bear.” For 45 wonderful years, they built a life together filled with joy, adventure, and countless memories. Whether spending weekends exploring flea markets and garage sales, or simply enjoying each other’s company, their bond was unshakable.

Bud was proud to work as a truck driver for POD, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and love of the open road. He also had a lifelong passion for anything with an engine, and he could often be found tinkering or sharing stories about his favorite projects. Beyond his work and hobbies, Bud had a tender side, finding great joy and comfort in the companionship of his beloved four-legged friends, especially Tinkerbell and Sadie.

He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Pat; his sister, Brenda (David) Ehret; his children, Bernard III (Kris), Michael (Kimberlie) Adams, Aaron Adams, Jennifer (Cory) Bricking, and Ashley (Ryan) Osborne; along with his many grandchildren, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Dolores; his brother-in-law, Dave; and his faithful dog, Tinkerbell.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Toledo Northwest Chapel. A funeral service celebrating Bud’s life will be held the following day, Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Toledo Memorial Park.

Bud’s warmth, humor, and love for life will live on in all who knew him.
