Barbara Jean Sobiecki

Barbara Jean Sobiecki, (Przybylski) of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. Born on May 25, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, Barbara lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep love for her family and community.

Barbara worked at Tiedtke’s Department store until it’s closing in 1972, then worked as a bridal consultant at Bridal Aisle Boutique until retiring in 1998. She was known for her reliability and kindness toward customers and colleagues alike. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Barbara found great joy in her hobbies and interests. She was an accomplished cook with a passion for preparing meals that brought her loved ones together. A spirited polka dancer, Barbara cherished the time she spent dancing and traveling with her husband, following the Duane Malinowski Band, and attending festivals that celebrated music and community spirit.

Her proudest achievements were rooted firmly in her family. She treasured her daughters, Deborah Czerniakowski and Dana Woods, holding them close as the center of her world. Barbara also took immense pride in her grandchildren, Amanda Woods and Jason Czerniakowski, as well as her great-granddaughter, Makenna Reid. Along with her nieces and nephews, these family members were a source of endless joy and comfort throughout her life.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Clara and Charles Przybylski, and her devoted husband, Ollie Sobiecki. She also was preceded in death by her brothers Edward, Melvin, and Joe Przybylski, her cherished sister Phyllis Glowacki, and her son-in-law Richard Woods. Despite these profound losses, Barbara’s enduring spirit and love continued to inspire those who knew her.
