Anuphong Israsena Na Ayudhaya, affectionately known as Paul, passed away peacefully in Toledo, Ohio on January 1, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on November 3, 1945, in the beautiful city of Chiang Mai, Thailand, Paul lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a cherished connection to both his heritage and his adopted home.

Paul's educational journey saw him earn a bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting in Thailand. Driven by the desire for new opportunities, he resettled in Toledo, Ohio, where he carved out a successful career as a Thai Cook at OK Wok and Bangkok Kitchen, sharing the flavors of his homeland with the local community.

Those who knew Paul will remember him as a man of few words, but those words carried weight, infused with his unique humor and humility. His presence commanded respect, yet there was an undeniable warmth to which friends and family gravitated. He had a special ability to make others laugh, a trait that endeared him to many. Paul had a passion for cars and watches, and his love for nurturing plants reflected his kind spirit and nurturing heart.

Paul's family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his devoted daughters Rachadaporn Samonkraisorakit and her husband Sorasak; Porntip Israsena Twishime and her husband Risara Theophile, and Pairinn Israsena; and his caring sons Peter Israsena and Andrew Israsena. He also leaves behind his beloved granddaughters: Natasha Samonkraisorakit, Malaika Israsena Twishime, and Soraya Israsena Twishime, who brought endless joy to his life. Constituting the fabric of his family, Paul is remembered for his love and guidance.

He is further survived by his sister Patchanee Sunthornsorn and her husband Chatchawarit, along with his niece Patnarin Sunthornsorn, who cherished their bond deeply. Paul's legacy will forever be felt in the hearts of those who loved him.

Paul is preceded in death by his cherished father, M R Porn Israsena Na Ayudhaya, and his beloved mother, Thong-On Israsena Na Ayudhaya. They were an integral part of his life, shaping the man who became a source of strength and inspiration for his family.
