Anthony Charles Foust (Tony), age 54, passed January 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Tony was a devoted husband to his wife, Holly and a proud father to Dominik (Shelby) Foust, Angelo (Sara) Foust, and Howard Pettaway. He was a cherished Grandpa to Scarlett Foust, who truly was and will always be his little Sunshine.
He is also survived by his parents, Maria (Ruben) Frias and Ralph (Barbara) Fausto; his brothers, Casimiro (Dyanna) Foust, Guadalupe (Vickie) Blanco, and Felix (Imelda) Blanco; and his sister, Corina (Ron) Cooper; Nephew, Vincent (Ariel) Foust; God daughter, Danielle (Mike) Blanco; Mother-in-law, Sue Barwiler; canine companion, Rocky and is also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Domingo and Josephine Billegas, his grandmother, Marjorie Childs; stepmother, Josie Campos; his uncle Chuck Foust; nephew, Lupe Blanco and canine companion, Peyte P.
After graduating from Bowsher High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served during Operation Desert Storm on the USS McInerney. Tony held several jobs throughout his life with the most memorable ones being for the City of Toledo and City of Ann Arbor as a Traffic Signal Technician.
While he enjoyed fishing, golfing, coon dog trials, family get-togethers and hanging out with his granddaughter, his lifelong passion was sports. He found joy in coaching his son’s teams, including football, baseball and basketball, throughout their school years. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Denver Broncos, and Philadelphia 76ers, and enjoyed attending Toledo Rockets games with his family.
Tony lived his life the best he knew. He was stubborn and often misunderstood by others, but he had an enormous heart. His kindness, protection and dedication to family, and love of life will leave a lasting mark on everyone he touched. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten, by all who knew and loved him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
The family kindly asks that Holly’s privacy be respected at this time. They appreciate the love and support being shown and request no phone calls.
To honor Tony’s love for sports, all attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite sports apparel in lieu of formal attire.
Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (Southwest chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 9:30-10:30AM. The funeral service will begin immediately after visitation at 10:30AM. Interment, Ft. Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, OH.
