Anna Agnes Ford

Anna Agnes Ford, age 98, of Swanton, Ohio, peacefully passed away on July 8, 2026.

Born on June 30, 1928, to the late Martin and Agnes Tomes, Anna lived a long, beautiful life defined by grace and devotion to her family. As a woman of immense inner strength, her patient and resilient nature carried her through life, while her cheerful spirit brought constant light to those around her. She was deeply loved for her kind-hearted, generous approach to everyone she met, and she was respected by all for being fiercely honest.

Anna found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved bowling, the creativity of ceramics and crochet, and was always up for a game of cards. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, where she delighted her family with her wonderful baking.

She is survived by her loving children: daughter Maryann (Tim) Hughes, and sons Tom (Pam) Ford, Jim Ford, and Dan Ford. Her legacy of love continues through her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anna was reunited in peace with her beloved husband, Thomas Ford; her parents, Martin and Agnes Tomes; her sisters, Lillian Vavrik, Mary Simoni, and Constance Tomes; her brothers, Martin Tomes Jr., John Tomes, and Constantine Tomes; her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Ford; and her granddaughter, Lyndsie Wyckoff.

To honor her wishes, Anna will be celebrated privately by her family. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Springfield Township Cemetery.
