Amy Lee Fairow, 57, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at home on May 17th, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and dear friends.
Amy was born in Peoria, Ill., on February 1st, 1968, to John and the late Clinda (Craggs) Fairow. She grew up in Lacon, Ill., but she also lived in Peoria and Chicago, Ill., Kenosha, Wis., and made her home in Toledo.
Amy deeply loved her children and grandchildren; spending time with them always brought joy and laughter. She was the life of the party, always cracking jokes, and her laughter was infectious to those around her. She always brought a smile to everyone around her. Her memory will live on through her family and all that knew her.
Besides her mother Clinda, Amy is preceded in death by her niece, Ashleigh Fairow; her grandparents, John and Amy Fairow, Clinton and Marcella Craggs; her uncles, Alfred Hudson, Paul, and David Craggs.
Amy is survived by her father, John Fairow; her children, Nache Johns, Kurt Finley, and Mercedes Brown; her grandchildren, Alaza Johns, A'Aliyah and Orlando Robinson, Memory Finley, Lanay and Zayden McNair, Royce and Leona Brown. Amy is also a special grandmother to Shelbi Joyner, Grace, and Noelle Hannah.
Amy is also survived by her sister, Lisa (Alex) Lippai; her brother, Brian (Esther) Fairow; her niece, Kayleigh Fairow; her aunt, Colleen Vink; and her cousins, Melissa Johnsen and Shawn Craggs. Amy is also survived by many other cousins and dear friends.
Per Amy's request, there will be no formal services. Amy's family would like to thank Hospice of Northwestern Ohio for their support toward the end. Amy's family also would like to thank all of her dear friends for their love and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
