Amy S Chester

Amy S. Chester, 74, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2024. Amy was born January 31, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to Donald and Virginia (Clements-Fortier) Whing. Amy married Robert J. Chester II on November 8, 1975. They were married for 36 years, prior to Bob preceding her in death in 2011. She was the middle child of five siblings. Roberta (Dennis) Geib, Terrence (Barb) Fortier, Kimberly (Robert) Williamson, and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Whing.

Amy was a devoted mother she is survived by her children, Joshua Pylant, Kelly (Jimmy) McCune, Michelle Chester and Christa (Adam) Jiamachello, six grandchildren, Morgan and Jimmy McCune, Bethany (Ryan) Paul, Julia (Tom) Burkhardt, Angelique (Tony) Williams and Katelyn (Brandon) Smith and four great-grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Virginia Whing and her sister Roberta Geib. Amy was a dedicated employee at AGREX for 26 years. Her favorite place to travel was Florida with her spending many vacations with her family and friends. We will forever miss your honest and forthright nature, and your wealth of knowledge and her strong hearted love of family. She managed the Knights of Columbus Hall on Secor Road for a number of years.

Amy will be honored at Newcomer Funeral Home, 2150 Laskey Rd, Toledo, Oh on Friday, February 9th, 2024. Family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm with a memorial service at 4 pm.
