Alvina "Jackie" Schroeder

Alvina "Jackie" Schroeder , age 88, of Toledo, OH passed away September 26, 2026 at Kingston Residence of Sylvania. She was born January 21, 1938 in Toledo to Melvin and Helen Zarecki. Jackie was a proud 1956 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She married John "Jack" Schroeder in 1958, they celebrated 64 years before his passing in 2022. Jackie went on to build a successful career where she was Vice President of Mick Electric for over 25 years. She was longtime parishioner of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church where she served as an Eucharistic Minister.

Jackie was a longtime member of both the Maumee Elks and Maumee Eagles. These organizations gave her many friendships and countless good times. If there was a game of euchre happening there was a good chance she was ready to play. She also enjoyed poker and bingo and loved the laughter, competition and companionship. She loved to travel and experience new places. One of her favorite trips was to Europe, a trip that gave her memories and stories that stayed with her for a lifetime.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was also preceded in death by her loving husband, John Schroeder; infant daughter, Kathleen Schroeder; and siblings, Eugene, Richard and Leona. Without a doubt, Jackie's greatest role was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Eric) Stallkamp, John (Betsy) Schroeder and Tina (Richard) Witt; grandchildren, Eric, Jr. (Kelsey), Sarah (Matt), Allison (Jeramie), John, III "Trey" (Tanisha), Morgan, Zachary, Brendan, Cameron, Alex, Corey, Rylie and Karly (Sam); great-grandsons, Eric, III, Theodore "Teddy," Brett and two on the way; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends, especially her long time friend, Kathy.

The family will receive guests Friday, October 2, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral will begin Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
