Allen A. McVay

Allen A. McVay, 70, of Toledo, Ohio, entered into the presence of his Lord on October 9, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Allen was born on March 24, 1956, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, the fifth of sixteen children born to Steve and Bedeedie McVay. He carried with him the values of faith, humility, and hard work throughout his life.

More than 36 years ago, Allen married the love of his life, Della Kidd. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family, blending and raising three loving sons. Allen was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved most.

A strong Christian, Allen's faith was the foundation of his life. He loved the Lord deeply and expressed his faith through the way he lived each day. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and found happiness in sharing music with others. Known for his quiet and gentle nature, Allen was a man who spoke little but loved greatly, always putting God and family first.

Allen worked faithfully for many years as a parts puller at A-1 Auto Parts before retiring. He was respected for his strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Bedeedie McVay, as well as several beloved siblings.

Those who knew Allen will remember his unwavering faith, kind heart, and quiet strength. His legacy of love, devotion, and Christian faith will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know him. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, children, extended family, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
