Allen Blair Jr. Allen Blair( affectionately known as Blair or PeeWee) was born June 3, 1955 in Meridian, Mississippi, to the late Allen and Jessina (Jessie) Blair. He departed this life peacefully on October 5, 2025. He attended Pickett Elementary and Scott High Schools. He worked various jobs and joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastoral Leadership of the late Reverend C.L. Jones. Later, he united with the People’s Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Reverend W.C. Graham after giving his life to Christ.
PeeWee loved to hang out and considered himself a player! He would often tell us, “Women would do anything for him.” He loved to play “spades” and “bid wiz”. He bragged about running “Boston’s”. Blair loved sports and was an Ohio State fan. In addition, he was a great bowler. Sandbagger or strike, put PeeWee up; he would get what was needed. Allen also loved his family, especially his nieces. He would take them anywhere, with or without notice, especially Montana.
He has faced numerous health challenges and navigated through them with prayers, family, and friends. We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to his aides and nurses who cared for him tirelessly. We would also like to extend gratitude to those friends who stopped by to check on him all the time. Special thanks to Correy Stevens, Denise Bush, and Frank Rayford.
Allen leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Sherleta Layson, sister, Susan Marie Fitzpatrick; brother, Arthur (Leila) Blair; nieces: Nicole Sherray Williams, Mrs. LaTreasha (David) Williams, and Reverend LaKeasha Fitzpatrick; great nieces: Khaliyah, Aquillah, and Montana Walker; great nephews: Charles, Aaron III; and Sir Walker, many great, great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
