Caroline "Carol" Sue Sobb, age 70, of Holland, Ohio passed away in her home surrounded by her family and friends on September 14, 2023 after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born on December 30, 1952 to Richard and Arlene Evearitt in Toledo, Ohio. Caroline was a 1971 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She married the love of her life, Andrew “Drew” Sobb, on September 8, 1973. Carol loved her family fiercely, she was the best daughter, wife, mother, Meme, sister/sister-in-law, and friend. She always put others first, and cared for them until her final days. She loved children, and she watched and nannied for several children throughout her lifetime, she was lovingly known as “Meme” and “Aunt Booga” to many. She was also an avid animal lover, rescuing and fostering many dogs over the years. Carol also enjoyed sun bathing and swimming in the pool, shopping, dancing, and overall having a goodtime. Her home was the home that everyone enjoyed spending time at and looked forward to visiting for get-togethers and holidays.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Drew Sobb; parents, Richard and Arlene Evearitt; brothers, Thomas and Robert Evearitt; and brothers and sister-in-law, Danny Pluckhorn, Janel Evearitt, Larry Swicegood. Left to cherish her memories and continue her legacy are her children, Tony Sobb and Angie (Brian) Szymanski; granddaughters, Haley (Dakota) Knight and Cassie Szymanski; siblings, Donna Pluckhorn, Cheryl Swicegood, Rick (Jan) Evearitt, Lynn (Karen) Evearitt, Donald Evearitt, Barb (John) Kachenmeister, Terry Evearitt, Sandy Evearitt, and Jim (Lori) Evearitt; sister-in-law, Debbie Evearitt; brothers-in-law, Robert (Jan) Sobb, Al (Kathy) Sobb, Paul Sobb, and Jerry (Jane) Sobb; close friends, the Barnaby Family, Ted Menes, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd, Toledo, Ohio, where a funeral service will begin on Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A luncheon will follow interment at The Lodge at Strawberry Acres Park, 950 S. McCord Rd, Holland, Ohio.
