Dear Nancy, and all your family,
I was saddened to hear of June's passing. I'll never quite be able to call her "Mary"! She was my first connection, at CCHS, to Point Place. And she always went at everything full throttle. I can hear her hustling into 1st period, lamenting that she didn't have her Latin homework done, and Sr. Casildus was going to have a fit. But she'd bounce up from that dilemma and ask what was going on with everyone else. Her smile, her stature and her laugh were her trademarks. I caught up with her at reunions, but inadvertently, at "Lily's "(when they were located in Sylvania) where I recognized her voice/laugh and she recognized my rapid speech. How blessed we all were to have her friendship.
Hugs to your hearts!

My sincerest sympathy to you Nancy in the loss of your sister, June.
You really captured her spirit in her obituary.
June and I had wonderful conversations during high school at Woolworth’s as we drank our cherry cokes before we left for our respective buses home. Later after going our separate ways in college we moved into homes in the same neighborhood where we renewed our friendship.
June was a wonderful person and will be missed Sharon (Lynch) Michalak

Oh Juniper, you were such an amazing girl! Always always making everyone happy with your dinner parties and sweet sentiments of love. Your cards were always the cutest and most sincere with the exclamations you added!!! How can we all survive without you now? The life lessons you taught us on kindness, compassion, friendship, beauty and laughter are ingrained forever in our hearts. Thank you for being June, a sweet soul who would always be there when you needed her the most.
Your love of music, dancing and concerts were always fun to enjoy with you. The time we were knocking on your front door and looking inside to see you dancing, and the music was soooo loud you could not hear us. The guy sitting in front of us, telling us we were have to much fun and to be quiet at the Michael McDonald concert in the pouring rain! Your love of Motown and Bruno Mars was epic! Music and dancing were your happy place.
You were a mother bear to all of us and for that we are eternally grateful, we are all better humans because of you.
Until we all meet again my kissing cousin, love Judy and Gary ??????

June will live in our hearts forever. She always had a smile on her face and knew how to make others feel special. She was such an inspiration to all as her journey ended her life here on earth. We have so many fond memories of June. Every time a card came from her it would be filled with different kinds of confetti, which we know made her laugh. Nancy and family, our sympathy to you, we know how much June loved you!

Sweet June...She was never happier than when she was treating us...to fabulous home cooked meals...to homemade fudge or cookies...to surprise packages left on the front porch...to sending her signature cards filled with "sprinkles".... she even sent thank you cards after receiving a card in the mail! She bravely lived life on her terms to the very end. So many times, I was inspired by her fierce determination to just keep going...she embodied the phrase "never give up". Her friendship and all our shared memories are my true gifts from her. I will always miss you my sweet girl, and come March, I will cheer on our Duke Blue Devils twice as hard...for both of us.
Till we meet again dear one

My dear, dear friend that was always June to me but I also referred to her as Messer. She was the kind of friend that you treasured when you spent time with and shared an understanding of fun and sincere enjoyment of life.
After CCHS and TU, née UT, our paths crossed only at reunions and weddings because my Mary and I left Toledo in 1972. But oh how we enjoyed the moments together like family. The passing of lovely lady with the charming smile and an unforgettably throaty laugh will survive in my memory. My heart aches with the loss of an authentic friend. Who else will send me beautifully composed notes with little aluminum colored seasonal messages that always spilled when the envelope was opened? Unforgettable.
Bye Bye dear Messer.
