Carol "Kay" Holsten
1936 - 2023

Carol "Kay" Holsten, age 86, passed away peacefully at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence on May 26, 2023. She was formerly a resident of Point Place, but most recently she was a resident of Franciscan Care Center. Carol was born November 28, 1936, in Marietta, Ohio, to the late Harold and Irene (Ladriere) Knox.

Carol graduated from Woodward High School. She enjoyed shopping at Meijer and going to garage sales where she would pick up beautiful antiques. Carol’s loved ones will miss her love, delicious pumpkin rolls and meatballs, and smile. This isn’t goodbye, but we will see you later!

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Mike (Mary) Keen, Dave (Patty) Keen, Tammy (Joe) Newbold, Ralph (Jane) Johnson, Jodi Johnson, and Jim (Carol) Johnson; step-children, Jill (Cliff) Kaighin, Jeff (Kris) Holsten, and Joy (Debbie) Holsten; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty six great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Irene Knox.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 10:00 am, at the funeral home, with her grandson, Pastor Joshua Newbold officiating.

Following the service, Carol will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
