Jan Carol Gadus, 63, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on May 20, 2023, at St. Anne Hospital surrounded by family.

Jan was born on May 28, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, to Edgar and Reba (Sosbe) Rose.

Jan graduated from Whitmer High School. She built a career working in the credit and collections field and was President of Meteor Express, an expedited trucking company.

Jan was known for her creative side and loved arts and crafts. She enjoyed painting, drawing, crocheting and cross-stitching. When Jan was not crafting, she could be found tending to many varieties of plants and flowers. She also had a love of animals, especially her dogs. She had a beautiful singing voice and was a worship leader and sang at her church she had attended.

Family was important in Jan’s eyes. She looked forward to family gatherings and making memories. Jan and her pure, infectious laugh will truly be missed.

Jan is survived by her husband, Tim Gadus, whom she married on April 30, 2008; children, Autumn Lee and Ryan Lee; stepchildren, Brittany Gadus (Stephan), Tori Gadus and Timmy Gadus II; grandchildren, Arely, Calyx, and Kaydence; mother, Reba Rose; siblings, Michael (Jared) Rose and Christine (Dan) Jackson; and her dog, Kai.

Jan was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Rose; and her son, Austin Stokes.

A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
