Sandra E. “Sandi” Cammarn, age 76, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Franciscan Care Center. She was born on July 19, 1946 to James and Marie (Len) Tucker in Toledo. Sandi worked at GM Powertrain for 27 years before retiring. She was a longtime member of VFW Post #606 where she was a part of the Ladies Auxiliary. Sandi was a collector of many things, especially Christmas items, Lucy dolls and Precious Moments. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and shopping with her granddaughter. Sandi had a huge heart and was a caregiver to everyone. She would give anyone the shirt off her back and help anyone in need. Sandi’s greatest passion was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were the light of her life. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Cammarn; brother, Jimmy Tucker; sons, Michael Zak and David Zak Jr.; and granddaughter, Nicole Zak. Left to cherish Sandi’s memory are her loving son, Matthew (Vivian) Zak; step-daughters, Barbara (John) Wright and Jennifer (William) Cammarn-Miller; grandchildren, Brandon (Lynsey Helfich) Zak, Chelsea (Thomas Townsend) Zak, Casey (Samantha) Kennedy, William Miller, Jr. and Jessica Miller; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh “KyKy”, Madelyn, Cooper, Draven, Maddex, and Serena; siblings, Daniel (Geri) Tucker, Steve Tucker, Ronald (Ida) Tucker, and Lisa (Stacey) Slinkard; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Willow Cemetery, Oregon, OH.
