1945 - 2023

Enrique “Henry” S. Vasquez age 77, passed away on March 11, 2023 with his loving family by his side at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Henry was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 19, 1945 to the late Antonia (Salas) and Enrique Vasquez Sr. Henry married Elizabeth Pena on March 18, 1972.

Henry attended Clay High School. He worked for 45 years at Jeep Chrysler Corporation and he was a proud member of the U.A.W., Local 12. He attended Calvary Church in Maumee. Henry enjoyed spending quality time with his family and vacationing with all of them. He was a history buff of the Jeep production in Toledo during WW II, local and American history. He visited many national historical sites, museums and military battlefields.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Elizabeth; children, Jeremy, Daniel, Andrea (Mike) Valasek, Elizabeth (Sean) Hadley and Dion Vasquez; grandchildren, Dylan and Emily Valasek, Grace and Conor Hadley; sisters Esther Albrecht and Mary Vasquez. In addition to his parents, Henry is proceeded in death by his sisters Angelita Blanco and Natalia Vasquez.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-Northwest Chapel at 4150 W. Laskey Road Toledo, OH 43623, where funeral services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Henry will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
