Veola Carpenter passed in peace at the age of 73. The daughter of Cooledge and Maeola Carpenter, she was born April 14, 1949 in Memphis, TN.

Veola was a compassionate, loving and affectionate mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She dedicated many years of her life to helping people while working in the field of Social Services. Veola went on the earn her Associate Degree in Social Work from the University of Toledo. She had many hobbies that included, reading books, cooking, baking, playing cards and spending time with family.

Veola will be fondly remembered by her only child, Glen (Lori) ; grandchildren, Khalil, Kaleb; siblings, Larry, Alfred (Beverly), Glen and Venetrice; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (4149-473-0300) with a Memorial service at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
