Nancy Jennings-Spahn, 74, passed away January 22, 2023 in Waterville, Ohio, with her daughter, Jennifer, and cousin, Constance, by her side. Born January 4, 1949, to Kate (Bureau) and Aub Jennings, she grew up in Liberty Center, Ohio. Nancy attended Liberty Center Local Schools graduating in 1966. Following high school, Nancy attended Davis College in Toledo, Ohio, to obtain secretarial certification and worked at Ohio Bell until 1975. She married Steve Spahn January 30, 1971. During their 19 year marriage, their daughter, Jennifer was born.Through the 1980s and 1990s she worked at the Wood County Courthouse and Woodlane Residential Services. She attended Lourdes University, Sylvania, Ohio; was a member of the honors society, Kappa Gamma Pi; and graduated Cum Laude May 16, 1998 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. She worked as a Case Manager at the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio from 2000 until her retirement in 2014.

Surviving are daughter Jennifer (Csaba) Nyiri; grandchildren Isabella, Aubrey, and Sebastien; dearest friend and caregiver, Joanie Drzewiecki; numerous cousins; and dog, Henry. Preceding her in death and welcoming her to heaven are her parents and infant sisters.

Wildly independent, social, direct, sassy, and hilarious, Nancy had impeccable fashion and design taste, a love language of gift giving, enjoyed dining out with friends, and was a talented piano player. She adored numerous dogs she cared for throughout her life, including two rescues.
