Kimberly Sue Conaway, age 65, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, OH. The daughter of Raymond and Marcelle, she was born July 17, 1957 in Toledo, OH. She was a 1975 graduate of Start High School and a 1977 graduate of Owens School of Nursing. Kim worked at several hospitals during her nursing career, working in surgery and the NICU before retiring from Flower Hospital as a pre-op nurse in 2021. Kim loved to travel; enjoyed her trips to Disney World, Myrtle Beach and various Broadway shows. The light of her life were her grandchildren whom she adored.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Brian) Root; grandchildren Jackson, Nolan, Raegan Root; sisters, Joanne (Jim) Riggs, April (Tim) Blanchard; nieces, Lindsay (Wade) Countryman, Brooke (Jeff) Myers, Taylor Hart; great nieces, nephew and life long friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Kaye Conaway.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-South West Chapel 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo (419-381-1900) with a sharing of memories from 7-8 p.m.

Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Ovarian Cancer Research Association.
