Vallie graduated from Woodward High School. She worked as a mixologist for most of her career, serving 18 years at South Aire Lounge until her retirement in 1989. A woman of faith, she loved worshiping and service to her Lord as a Eucharist Minister and Lector for over 10 years. Her smile and love will forever be missed. This isn’t goodbye, it’s I will see you soon…
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, Donald Waggoner, Sr., whom she married on March 7, 1970; sons, Ted Cooper (Judy) and Donald Waggoner, Jr. (Mary); daughters, Candy Waggoner-Andres (Thomas) and Constance Waggoner-Brown (Robin); grandchildren, Jeffery Cooper, Steven Cooper, Jennifer Morgan, Thomas Buck, Jr., Cory Buck, Misty Buschor, Destiny Jones, Channing Waggoner, Donald Waggoner, III, and Mason Waggoner; great-grandchildren, Justin and Katie Cooper, Thomas Newman, Cory Buck, Jr., Austin and Braelyn Jones, Evaleigh and Leighton Buschor, Isaiah Waggoner; six great great grandchildren; three great-great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah “Sally” Jaso (Cooper); granddaughter, Julie (Buck) Escarsega; great grandsons, Jesse Buck-Gambrell and Thomas Alan Buck III; and her brothers, Jerome C. Ishmael and Shelby Ishmael.
Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio, 43623, on Monday, January 30, 2023, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, with the rosary being recited at 12:00 pm. Following services, Vallie will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guiding Eyes For The Blind or The Diocese of Toledo.
