Margaret V. Fisher
1938 - 2023

As those who know and celebrate her home going, Margaret V. Fisher, went into the waiting arms of Jesus on January 16, 2023 at the age of 84.

Born in Lavesville, West Virginia to Lorenzo Dow and Blanche (Reed) Roy on April 14, 1938. She was the youngest of seven children. Margaret grew up on a farm in the beautiful mountains. She assisted her mother with running a small store for their community. Margaret graduated from Davis High School in 1957. After graduation, she moved to Toledo, Ohio. She worked for St. Vincent's Medical Center as a ward clerk. While working for the Ohio Department of Transportation, she met John F. Kennedy, while he was campaigning for president.

She married Daniel Fisher in 1961, while he was on leave from the service. He returned to Fort Hood, while Margaret remained in Toledo. After the death of her mother she joined her husband in Texas. While there, she worked for Killen High School. After Daniel's discharge, they returned to Toledo where she worked at Vlasic Food.

Margaret was blessed to bring into the world her only child, Debra. After the birth of her daughter, she became a stay at home mother. She wanted to find a job that she could do from home. Margaret became an Avon Representative for 50 years. She was PTA President, room Mother and Girl Scout Leader.

In the 1970's, she returned to the workforce to pay for private school for her daughter, where she began working at Home Furniture until the store closed. After the closure, she began working for Women's World at Northtowne Mall until 1988.

In 1983, Margaret and Daniel divorced. She enjoyed spending time traveling with Sandy Hassell, Bev Hacker, Sharon Davns, Nancie Meacham and Joanne Bean.

In 1988, She began working at Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital until she became disabled.

She leaves behind her daughter, Debra (Lawrence) Pruss; adopted daughter from Germany, Nadia Vondran; sisters-in-law, Grace Roy, Myra Roy, and Bea Fisher; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and adopted family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo Dow and Blanche (Reed) Roy; sister, Evelyn (Clyde) Roush; brothers, Jimmy (Maxine), John (Marie and Mary), Lorenzo Easton (Elsie), Gordon (Dove), Calvin and Herbert (Janet) Roy.
