Gay retired early in life as a Licensed Practical Nurse, treasured being a housewife to her beloved husband, John, but most importantly was a servant of the Lord. She loved gardening, crocheting, fishing and camping with her family. John and Gay use to square and round dance for many years. Gay loved nothing more than spending time with her family; she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Gay is survived by her son, John (Gail) Morris, Jr.; daughter, Jennifer (Rob) Gunderson; grandchildren, John L. Morris, III, Stephen (and family), Gabrielle Tinker, Heather Thompsett, David (Christina) Thompsett, Tori Gunderson, and Trisha (Jake) Ladziak; great-granddaughter, Amanda Webb; great-grandson, Camden Thompsett, brother, William (Eliane) Easterly; sister-in-loves, Jean Morris, Kathy Morris and Linda Stoddard; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Morris, Sr., granddaughter, Mary Morris; brother Gary (Bev) Stoddard; brother-in-loves Sam (Dolly) Morris, Homer Morris, Jim Morris, nephews, Brad Tooman, Keith Merritt, Keith A'Hearn, great-nephew Adam Stiles
The family will receive guests on Thursday, October 6 from 2 - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Celebration of Life Service will begin Friday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. also at Newcomer, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow Lake Township Cemetery.
