Thomas S. “Tom” Pruss, age 75, of Toledo, passed away September 27, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 2, 1947 in Toledo to Frank and Helen (Smolka) Pruss. Tom attended Libbey High School and played basketball. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for 8 years serving during the Vietnam War, and also served as a Drill Sergeant for 10 years following the war. Tom loved hunting with his nephew, Josh and enjoyed bowling. He also was a Toledo Mudhen and Detroit Tiger fan.

In addition to his parents, Tom was also preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Jr., Harry, Leonard and Edward Pruss. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Pruss; son, Aaron (Nicole Jensen) Kriner; daughter, Rachael Pruss; grandchildren, Jade, Madison, Aiden, Lillith and Joshalynn; siblings, James (Sue) Pruss, Margie (David) Myers and Janice Meridia.

The family will receive guests Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
