In Memory Of
Ronald L. Mills
1941 - 2022
Ron started his career in Data Processing while serving in the United States Air Force. He was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Northwest Ohio for many years before taking a job with Foundation Health Care in Sacramento, CA. He went on to become Vice President of Coram Healthcare’s Information Technology Center. After retiring in 2006, he moved back to the Toledo area to spend time with his family and keep his promise to Linda. He was an avid golfer and played several times a week. As he told Linda many times, "I've taken you on some great vacations - to many beautiful golf courses". Which was from coast to coast, Maui and Kauai. Ron truly enjoyed doing his own yard work and decorating the yard for Halloween and Christmas. In 2021 he received his most prized possession, his 2021 Red Corvette Stingray convertible, which they created and ordered together. He would always be cheering for his Ohio State Buckeye’s, Football and Basketball.
Ron’s witty humor, teasing manner and loving and caring ways will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy (Mills) Leyman; mother and father-in-law, Mary Ruth and Ray Emlong. He is survived by his loving wife of 41+ years, Linda Mills; son, Mark (Ashley) Mills; son-in-law, Tom Leyman; brothers, Marvin (Vikki) Mills and Skip (Rocky) Mills; sister, Judy Griffith; Sister-in-law, Robin (Jerry) Smith. Nine grandchildren; Five great-grandchildren, and his special little fuzzy friend, Woody.
