Beverly Jean (Horn) Bryant-Bey of Toledo, OH, was born to the union of Curtis Lee and Mary Etta (Pendleton) Horn on August 14, 1953.

Beverly attended Toledo Public Schools and graduated from Macomber Whitney Vocational High School in 1971. She continued her education at the University of Toledo in Social Services Technology, graduating in 1986. Beverly gave her life to God at an early age. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church under Pastor Gerald Fletcher. She was a faithful member until her health declined. She still held her faith close to her heart attending online services, still praying, and reading her bible.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Lee Horn; sister, Gloria Jean Horn; great grandson, Keni Thai Taylor; sisters, Karen Horn, Vanessa Walker, and Patricia Horn.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Mary Etta Horn; children, Surron (Jessica) Horn, William Curtis Bryant-Bey, Calisha (Rashad) Golladay; grandchildren, Tiara, Tyniece, Kenton, Ameenah, Ameen, Kelsey, Cyniah, London, Caiden, Ahmad, Logan, and Keesan; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda, Emma, Michelle, and Sharon Horn. A host of special friends and loved ones: William Bryant Bey, Marcus, Jaymon, Jasmine, Mika, Anna, Virgie, Ellie, and Tracey. A host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, and so much more.

Beverly loved her family and was always there when needed. She had a unique bond with each of her grandchildren and loved them so much. She was encouraging, funny, inspiring, and we loved our kitchen table talks.

Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 10:00 am, with Pastor Gerald Fletcher officiating. Beverly will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
