Sandra S. “Sandi” Doran, age 77, of Toledo, lost her fight on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 8, 1944 to Watson “Doc” and Rosalyn Welever in Toledo. Sandi graduated from Woodward High School. She was a hardworker, working various jobs before finding her calling of becoming a nurse. Sandi spent many years caring for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was faced with many health challenges along the way, but was one of the strongest women you would ever meet. Sandi’s greatest passion was living on Long Lake with her husband, Hank and being on the water. She enjoyed taking vacations to Tybee Island with family and grandchildren. Sandi also had an eye for decorating and was always changing her home. In her later years, she found joy in her pup, Milo. Sandi loved any time spent with her family, most importantly her grandchildren. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Doran; brother, William Welever, Sr.; son-in-law, Michael Barry; and many in-laws. Left to cherish Sandi’s memory are her loving children, Kelly (Bob) Wren, Jeff Doran and Dena Barry; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Randy Welever and Patty (Pat) Riley; best friend, Nancy Doran; and canine companion, Milo; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300).

The family would like to give a special thank you to Sandi’s grandson, Mark Dille and close family friend, Bonnie Fetterly for all of their extra love, care and support given to Sandi and the entire family throughout this difficult time.
