Barbara J. “Lil Barb” (Braman) Poland, age 73, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was born on August 27, 1948 to William and Hazel (Harris) Braman in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Barb attended Bedford High School. She was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt. Barb loved animals, mostly cats. She loved music; mostly do-wop and Elvis. Barb deeply loved her sons and all of her grandchildren. Her smile and spirit will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Poland; and her sister, Patricia Hutton.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Nancy Braman and John (Mary) Braman; sons, John Braman, Clint (Sylvia) Grantham and Joe (Krista) Braman; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Toledo Humane Society.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Sylvia Grantham for all of the extra love, care and support given to Barb throughout this difficult time.
