In Memory Of
Edward D. Spears
1959 - 2022

Adored son, beloved brother, cherished uncle and faithful cousin and loyal friend is how Edward D. Spears will be remembered.

Affectionately known as “Ed” or “Big Ed” had the biggest heart and kind spirit to all he came into contact with. He was an electrician by trade, but had many other talents, including singing in the church choir, playing the saxophone and professional acting. He also loved to cook and made the best jambalaya this side of the Mississippi River.

On January 11, 2022, Ed lost the battle with COVID 19 and went to be with the Lord. While he is gone, he will never be forgotten: His big smile, quick wit and giving heart will remain forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben J. Spears, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mom, Mary; sister, Sandra; brother, Ronald; niece and nephew, Ashley and Cameron. As well as the entire host of the Spears and Richardson families: aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In remembrance of Ed, the family kindly ask that you please get your COVID vaccinations as soon as possible and help possibly save another loved one’s life.

Due to COVID services for Ed will be held privately for the immediate family.
