Richard G. “Dick” Grewe, age 88, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Goerlich Center with his loving wife and daughter by his side. He was born on March 16, 1933 to Herman and Francesca Grewe in Toledo. Dick was a 1952 graduate of Whitmer High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving his country proudly during the Korean War. Dick went on to the University of Toledo and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree ME. He then worked in real estate throughout his career. Dick loved golfing and traveling throughout the Unites States with his wife. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. Dick was a longtime member of St. Clement Catholic Church. His sense of humor, smile and spirit will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Norman Grewe, Hilde Grewe and Louise Halbert. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 61 years, Kay Grewe; children, Carol (John) Thaler, Richard Grewe and John (Jodi) Grewe; grandchildren, Lauren (Noah), Jeffrey, Chloe, and Jason; great-grandson, Parker; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Private Graveside Services were held for Dick. Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
