Sylvia Ann Cooke, 69, of Defiance, passed away November 26, 2021 at The Toledo Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Sylvia was born November 27, 1951 in Lamb, TX to Ignacio and Diamantina (Santos) Contreras.

She worked at Berryville Graphics for several years before her retirement. In her free time, Sylvia enjoyed being in her garden and was a constant companion to her mother.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sabrina (Scot) Rebrook and Athena Smith; grandchildren, Anthony Smith, Lucas Smith, and Richard Lowery; mother, Diamantina Contreras; siblings, Maria (Stanley) Hilton, Emma (William) Davis, Jesus (Sharon) Contreras, Gloria Turner; and her beloved four legged companion, Tippy.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her father, Ignacio Contreras and brothers, Ignacio Jr. and Roberto Contreras.

A Celebration of Life honoring Sylvia will be held at a later date.
