JoAnne Johnson, age 84, passed away November 15, 2021. JoAnne was born August 13, 1937. JoAnne was a mother, sister, grandma and dear friend to many. She was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. JoAnne enjoyed cooking for her family, mushroom hunting, playing euchre, her “toddies” and glasses of wine. She always read her enquirer magazines, she called her “tattlers”. An artist, early on, she has many beautiful paintings from over the years. JoAnne had luck at gambling and loved going to the casino and vacations in Las Vegas. Her caring heart and loving spirit will love on in each of us.
JoAnne was the daughter of Jesse and Marjorie Simrell, the mother of five children, a sister to two brothers and a grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. JoAnne was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James H. Johnson in 2017. May you rest peacefully, you will forever be missed. In memory of JoAnne, if wished, donation in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Services were private.
