In Memory Of
Beverly "Bev" Fox
1939 - 2021

Beverly Jean (Rate) Fox, age 82, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 10, 1939, to the late Arthur and Wilma (Ehrbright) Rate.

Bev was a 1957 graduate of Waite High School. She had worked at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, where she had retired after 27 years. Bev had a beautiful smile and could light up a room. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and shopping. A card player, she enjoyed going to Windsor Cesar Casino. Through the years, Bev liked going to Cedar Point with her family; she had so much fun with many memories that were made. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and staff from Hospice of Northwest Ohio, for their compassion, generosity and care that they gave Bev the last few months.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, Jim Fox, whom she married on May 21, 1998; daughter, Patricia (Joe); grandchildren, Shawna (Trisha), Tasha (John), Tim (Gretchen) Jr., Thomas, and Dallas; twenty three great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister, Shirley; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very close friend, Sandy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Suzette; son-in-law, Tom Rink; and a brother-in-law, Tom Payne.

Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
