In Memory Of
Dawn M. Haack
1971 - 2021

Dawn Marie (Richardson) Haack, age 49, of Holland, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at Flower Hospital. She was born December 8, 1971, in Toledo and raised by her parents Joyce and Michael Cassidy. Dawn graduated from Macomber Whitney High School, Class of 1990. She went on to become a Paraprofessional working with TPS for 19 years. She married her neighborhood sweetheart, Dennis Edward Haack, on May 10th, 1997, and together they raised three beautiful daughters, Carrisa Nicole, McKenzie Joy, and Aubree Marie Haack.

Dawn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, often putting everyone else’s needs before her own. Everything about her was contagious, from the way she smiled to the way she laughed, to the way you could always be yourself around her. She was strong-willed and proud of herself and her family. Dawn always made everyone around her feel so welcomed and cared for. She had such a beautiful soul that impacted every single person she met. Her passions included traveling and wanting to experience as much of the world as she could. However, her favorite place was with family, friends, and anywhere with a beach and the sun shining on her. She loved any music that could make you get up and dance, and yes she always got up to do just that every single time.

Spending time with family and friends was one of Dawn’s favorite things to do, it was always a priority to be with the people she loved. She always made every gathering special, whether it was a holiday or just a Sunday night dinner with the family. Dawn always made sure to participate in holiday traditions, which will be continued on by her family. Some traditions consisted of baking and decorating Christmas cookies to buying Cake-in-a-Cup for her family’s birthdays. She and her husband, Dennis, did everything together and created the most beautiful and loving life together. They were truly each other’s soulmates. Dawn’s life passion revolved around impacting as many kids' lives as possible. She not only dedicated her life to her own children and grandchildren but also to all the kids and teenagers she has worked with over the years. This is clearly evident through (as she would call them) her ‘work kids’ from TPS and Harbor.

Dawn is survived by her loving husband of almost 25 years, Dennis E. Haack; daughters, Carrisa (Robbie) Shiekh, McKenzie Haack, and Aubree Haack; grandchildren, Caison and Addison Shiekh; parents, Joyce and Michael Cassidy; brothers, Jeffrey (Angela) Richardson and Justin (Melissa) Cassidy; aunts & uncles; nieces & nephews; cousins, and all of the many special friends she has made over the years.

A Celebration of Life to remember Dawn will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Olander Park Nederhouser Community Hall, 6930 W. Sylvania Ave. Sylvania, OH 43560 from 1-6 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dawn Haack Memorial Fund in her memory in care of the family.
