Manny David Littin, age 88, of Monclova, OH passed away October 8, 2021 at McLaren St. Luke's Hospital. He was born July 25, 1933 in Toledo to Edwin and Pearl (Miller) Littin. Manny was a 1951 graduate of Libbey High School and also attended the University of Toledo where he studied Business. He owned and operated Littin Boat Works, 2503 Broadway Street until the 1970’s. Manny also sold insurance for Prudential and worked at Ray Green’s where he built sailboats. He then went on to join the Toledo Fire Department as a Fireman from April 5, 1963 – July 22, 1988. Manny served as President of the Union Local 92 for the Fire Department. Manny also owned Littin Boat Storage on Marine Drive for many years. He was the Back Stage Manager and also President and Agent of the IATSE Stage Hands Union Local 24 at the Stranahan Theatre from 1970 until he passed away.

Manny was a lifetime member of the Maumee River Yacht Club. Also, Manny was an active member of the Maumee/Bowling Green Elks Lodge 1850. He served as the current Treasurer of the Fulton County Kennel Club. Manny was also a member of the Briard Club of America and the Briard Rescue, Toledo Fire Museum and National Museum of the Great Lakes.

In addition to his parents, Manny was also preceded in death by his spouses, Joyce and Jean Littin. He is survived by his children, Cathy Jo Kroggel, Tom (Lynn) Littin, Jeff (Sandy) Heft, Brad (Lisa) Heft and Greg (Jan) Heft; grandchildren Michael, Matthew and Daniel Kroggel, Jenna (Shane) and Morgan Littin, Andy (Crystal) Heft, Katie (Jake) Stacey, Tyler (Alexa) Heft, Logan (Zach) Davies, Brielle Heft and Ashlee (Justin) Cody; 12 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Janet McLaughlin, Carol (Dick) Hoglund and Carol (Bob) Meinen; brother-in-law, Doug (Donna) Kahn; close friend, John Repp and many family members and close friends.

The family will receive guests, Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900); where the Fire Department will have Last Alarm at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Fire Museum or the Briard Rescue in Manny's memory.
