In Memory Of
Veronica J. Maciolek
1930 - 2021

Veronica J. Maciolek, age 91, of Toledo, peacefully went to sleep trusting Jesus Christ, her LORD and Savior, at home surrounded by devoted children. She was born on February 18, 1930 to Nicolas and Mary (Juhasz) Nagy in Toledo. Veronica was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy. She enjoyed fishing and riding the motorcycle with her husband Raymond. They would take rides and trips all over the tri-state area and loved being in God's creation taking walks in our area parks. Veronica loved gardening, baking, archery and was an artist; she delighted in being creative in just about everything. She was an avid reader, loved daily scripture devotions and enjoyed the symphony and listening to classical and sacred music. Veronica loved nothing more than spending time with family; most importantly looking forward to the times they visited. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, always a hard worker, had a servant's heart, delighted to lend a helping hand and she truly loved to laugh. Her smile, generous spirit, listening ear, and caring nature will truly be missed by all who really knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond Maciolek; and 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Larry Maciolek, Linda Haines and Eileen (Chris) Maciolek-Ward; grandchildren, Nathan (Brandy), Benjamin and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Zolie, and Holland; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive any guests on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Toledo Food Banks or the Cherry Street Mission.
