Marsha was the 7th of 10 children, and attended North Division, then later Scott High School. She worked at Burker King in Wisconsin and various factory and waitress jobs upon moving back to Toledo.
Marsha enjoyed life to the fullest until the tragedy of her youngest daughter, Tylisha "Secret" Carter. She was baptized at 6 and later started a family, marrying Jackie Carter, Sr. and carried 4 boys and 2 girls. She loved family and enjoyed laughter and "kicking it". She had a special love for her children and grandchildren, as well as close nieces and nephew. Marsha was always the life of the party where she went and enjoyed spending time with close friends and loved ones.
Marsha was preceded in death by her grandparents; 3 siblings; father, James Combs and mother, Bessie Lee Summers-Combs; youngest daughter, Tylisha Renee Carter; and godson, BJ.
Marsha will be cherished and missed by her children, Jackie Jr., Osha, TAvii, Adonis, and Joseph; god-children, Kenya and Kevin; siblings, Allen (April) Cable, Johnnie Johnson, Jr., Melinda (Jerry) Smith-Hogan, Bertha Johnson, Gilbert Johnson, Johnathan Johnson; several aunts and uncles; 8 nieces and 7 nephews, including special niece, Jami Fletcher and special nephew, Prince G Smith; best friend Trina McNeal, close buddy, Carlene "Pat" Carter, special love, Tremaine Ballard, special friend, Joseph Sullivan, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive guests Friday, September 24, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 11:00 am. at the funeral home.
