In Memory Of
Marvin D. Elmore
1966 - 2021

Marvin Dwight Elmore, age 55 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 after a lengthy illness, at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, Ohio surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Adrian Michigan May 28, 1966. He and his parents, Willie Elmore and Betty Goings (Parish), moved to Toledo, Ohio in his younger years.

He was a class of 1985 graduate of Woodward High School in Toledo, Ohio. He loved listening to music while playing the drums and bongos. He was great with his hands and could fix and repair almost anything. His favorite past time was watching NFL football games with his best friend Cory Parker. Marvin enjoyed fishing and loved eating great food with family and friends. His infectious smile, crazy sense of humor and jokes will truly be missed. Marvin was a kind and loving soul. Gentle and Beautiful in word and actions.

He is survived by his siblings, Inez Elmore, Randall Elmore and Danielle Elmore. His children Donte Elmore, grandchildren Ericka Rogers, Sammare King, and Alexander Elmore, and son Marvin Dwight Elmore Jr. Nieces Jazzaray Martin, Kierra Martin, and nephew Jewan Lancaster.

Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, or even a stranger, if in a lonely place. Show respect to all people, but grovel to none. When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life,...

If Roses Grow in Heaven
If roses grow in Heaven Lord
Please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my dads arms
And tell him they’re from me.
Tell him that I love and miss him
And when he turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon his cheek
And hold him for a while.
Because remembering him is easy
I do it everyday
But there is an ache within my heart
