James R. "Jimmy" Flanigan

James R. “Jimmy” Flanigan, age 53, of Toledo, passed away suddenly Thursday, September 16, 2021 at home. He was born on January 28, 1968 to James M. and Theresa (Morrin) Flanigan in Toledo. Jimmy was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. He was employed with the City of Sylvania in vehicle maintenance for over 30 years. Jimmy was an avid fan of the San Jose Sharks, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Toledo Walleye. He loved photography and was always the family photographer. Jimmy enjoyed wood working, doing projects and helping others when in need. He was an excellent cook and loved spending time with his family. Jimmy’s smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lynn Flanigan; parents, Jim and Teri Flanigan; children, Laura, Tiffany and James (Katie) Flanigan; grandchildren, Hayeden, Sophia, Greyson, and R.J.; brothers, Patrick and Alan (Nicole) Flanigan; nieces, Kelsey, Karley, Kasey and Reese; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300).
