Katherine DiLorenzo, age 80, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born on February 4, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Jacob and Margaret (Meier) Hirschberger.

Kathy had worked at St. Luke’s Hospital, in Toledo, for over 20 years and was a life-time member of the Bavarian Sports Club. She enjoyed and was very talented at crocheting, sewing, and cross-stitching. A generous caring soul, Kathy would crochet prayer blankets and would donate them to a local hospice. Kathy was a loving wife, supportive mother, and amazing grandmother, and she will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are the love of her life, Pat DiLorenzo, whom she married on April 20, 1963; children, Doug DiLorenzo, Vicky Glenn, Dan DiLorenzo, Nick DiLorenzo, and Peggy (Bill) Anderson; grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Adam, and Jared Glenn, Dylan Czekaj, Jordan DiLorenzo and Joey Anderson; two great grandchildren; sister, Jackie Beutler; sister-in-law, Lenna DiLorenzo; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents,

Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, where a short prayer service will be at 7:00 pm. Burial will take place at a later date at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Katherine’s name, to a charity of your choice.
