Mary Elizabeth Pollauf
1949 - 2021

Mary Pollauf, age 72, passed away peacefully September 5, 2021 at her home in Toledo, OH with her husband by her side. Mary was born January 13, 1949 in Boston to Bruce and Mary Jewett.

She was a lifelong member of the Starcraft/Friends & Family camping club and was also a member of many bowling leagues in both Massachusetts and Ohio. Through these groups, she amassed a countless number of lifelong friends. Mary was always the life of the party. As soon as the music came on, she was always the first one out there dancing and having fun. For this, she became affectionately known by her friends as "Crazy Mary." She also earned the nickname "Boston Mary" for her passionate love for all her Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots. She loved her annual trips to Aruba, amusement parks, campfire games with friends and family, and any "Vanilla Chai Latte" she could get her hands on.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Lynne Simon and Paul Cress. Mary is survived by her husband Robert Pollauf of Toledo, son Timothy and his wife Michaele from Plainville, MA and daughter Jennifer from Round Rock, TX. She has 6 grandchildren (Evan, McKenna, Michael, Logan, Samantha, and Steve). Also 3 (soon to be 4) great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Ann Enos of Norton, MA and brother Harry Jewett of Clinton, MA, along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, and brother and sister-in-laws.

Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614, on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 4-7:00 p.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Life honoring Mary will be held at on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 4-9:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post, 437 Newport Ave., Attleboro, Massachusetts 02703.
