Margaret A. Russell, age 80, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Flower Hospital. She was born May 5, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Leonard and Gertrude (Winters) Eldridge. Margaret was a Para-Professional employed with Toledo Public Schools for more than 26 years. She made many friends and memories during her early years assisting at Lincoln Elementary until the day she retired from Rogers High School. Margaret was also a longtime member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish supporting several church events.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, cherishing the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren. Margaret enjoyed boating on the Maumee River and Lake Erie. She and her late husband, Jerry were longtime members of Bayview Yacht Club, where he served as Commodore and she as First Lady.
Holidays were special times for Margaret and for years the Russell Household was filled with family and a wonderful feast prepared by Margaret for all to enjoy. She also made sure she set aside time to bake her famous Apple pies to spoil her guests with during those holiday celebrations as well as throughout the year at get-together's and cook-outs.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jerry Russell; grandson, Christopher Michael Fuelling and brother, John Eldridge. She is survived by her children, James (Kelli) Fuelling, Ronald (Annette) Fuelling, Michael (Shelly) Fuelling, Sheryl (James) Brown and Jerry (Kristi) Russell; grandchildren, James Fuelling, Jr., Matthew Fuelling, Joshua Fuelling, Bradley Fuelling, Ryan Thomas Fuelling, James Brown, John Brown, Joe Brown, Kennedy Russell and Tess Russell; great grandchildren, Aubrey Fuelling, Brycen Fuelling and Braxton Fuelling.
