In Memory Of
James Jay "Jim" Brink
1948 - 2021

James Jay Brink, 72, of Maumee, passed away July 24, 2021 at The Toledo Hospital. Jim was born September 11, 1948 in Toledo to Winfred and Evelyn (Peio) Brink.

After graduating from Rogers High School in 1966 he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country for two years. After being honorable discharged from the Army, Jim went on to work at General Motors for 30 years until his retirement in 2002.

In his free-time he enjoyed golfing and watching any sport, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Pistons. Jim had a passion for music and would regularly attend Name That Tune at Jed's. He also had an exceptional collection of baseball cards and vinyl records. Jim also treasured the time that he was able to join the On Deck Circle team for 11 years, where he met every baseball hall-of-famer that was there. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and would attend all of his grandson's baseball and basketball games.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Amy (Jason) Brink Miller; grandchildren, Cortney Miller, Jason Miller Jr., Alyssa (Spencer) Richardson; fur-grandchildren, Sammy, Sunni, Sierra, and Dixie; brother, David (Joyce) Brink; and former wife & friend, Sandra (Joseph) Grabarczyk.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Lucille Peio.

The family will receive guests Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900), where Funeral Services will begin at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jim's family in care of Amy Miller.
