Shannon Marie Rose
1970 - 2021

Shannon Marie Rose, age 50, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Hanover Nursing Home, in Hanover, Indiana, after a courageous battle with Huntington’s disease. Shannon was born on December 31, 1970, to William McGovern and Roberta (Hill) Saylor.

Shannon is a Libbey High School graduate, and then continued her education at Owens Community College, where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree. She had worked as an STNA at Flower Hospital in Sylvania. With family being number one in Shannon’s life, family events was something she always looked forward too. Whether it was hosting pool parties or cookouts, having the family over meant a lot too her; she always cherished those moments. Known by “Aunt Shannon”, she enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her husband, Greg Rose, whom she married on June 6, 1998; mother, Roberta Saylor; three brothers, Jerry Lowry, Chuk Lowry and Bob Pat Lowry; a sister, Dawn McGovern; niece, Ashley McGovern; a nephew, Marcus McGovern; and her fury companions, Chloe, Junior, and Chunkalunka.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, William McGovern; and a brother, Garry Lowry.

A private family service will take place at a later date. A memory or condolence may be shared to the family by visiting www.NewcomerToledo.com.
