1942 - 2021

James E. “Jim” Brancheau, Jr., age 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born on January 8, 1942 to James Sr. and Marjorie (Krickow) Brancheau in Toledo. Jim graduated from Scott High School and attended Stautzenberger College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era serving on the U.S.S. Richard E. Kraus. Jim worked at Ford Motor Company, Maumee Stamping Plant as an inspector for 30 years before retiring in 2003. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and watching golf in his later years. Jim was also a dog lover. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his brothers, William (Cathy) and Donald (Kathy) Brancheau; nieces and nephews, Dawn (Craig) Baurichter, David (Miya Abbott) Brancheau, Laura (Jason) Jones, Erin (Justin) Thomas, Matthew Brancheau, Gregory Brancheau, and Ryan (Marlaina) Brancheau; many great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Advanced Specialty Hospital, 1015 Garden Lake Pkwy., Toledo, OH 43614 or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
