Nancy G. Rowland, age 85, of Toledo, formerly of Willis Blvd., passed away peacefully Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Goerlich Center. She was born on April 9, 1935 to Ralph and Norberta King in Toledo, OH. Nancy graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1953 and then went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Toledo. She worked as a kindergarten teacher with Toledo Public Schools for 20 years before retiring. Nancy was an avid reader, an excellent cook and loved traveling. She and her husband Bob were avid collectors and loved to search for treasures on weekends. Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her smile, laugh and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish Nancy’s memory are her loving children, Bob Jr. (Anita), Bill (Marci), Amy, Michael (Wendi) and Wendy (Nick) Dukeshire; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Robert “Bob” Rowland, Sr.; and brother, Raymond “Sonny” Mueller.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). (For the safety of the Rowland family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).
