Calvin C. Landis
1924 - 2021

Calvin Coolidge Landis, age 96, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Sylvania. He was born on June 19, 1924, in Central City, Pennsylvania, to the late Morris and Ethel (Weyant) Landis.

Calvin proudly served in the United States Army during WWII, where he was stationed in Alaska. A special love for motorcycles and cars, he liked working on them and fixing them up. Calvin was a member of the VFW, Post 606.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lois (Fish) Landis, whom he married on February 26, 1948; four children, Ryan Landis, Roger (Kathryn) Landis, Dennis (Julie) Landis, and Scott Landis; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a daughter-in-law, Jan Landis.

In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his son, Alan Landis.

Per Calvin’s wishes, there will be no services held and cremation will take place. Burial will take place at a later date at Springfield Township Cemetery in Holland. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.NewcomerToledo.com.
