Edith Elifrieda Maria VonFisher (Wendler) Nims, age 101, a longtime resident of Toledo, passed away November 9, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 10, 1918 in Germany to Ervin E. and Freida Anna-Ella (VonFisher) Wendler. Edith moved to the United States in 1946. She attended Davis Business College, graduating with a degree in Business Administration.

Edith was a talented Fur Finisher working at Toledo Furs for more than 22 years. After her career with Toledo Firs she started Nims Custodial Services and continued working until she was 97 years old.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, cherishing the time she was able to spend with her family, friends and her beloved dog, Sandy.

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Lynn; daughter-in-law, Anita Wilcox and husbands, Clair D. Champion, Lloyd F. Wilcox, George W. Keatley and Max W. Nims and brothers, Ervine and Ernest Wendler.

Edith is survived by her loving children, Clair "CC" Charles Champion, Sr., Linda Susan Wilcox, Floyd Franklin Wilcox and Robert Dean (DeShawn Weirick) Wilcox, Sr.; grandchildren, Adam (Sarah), James, Autumn Rae, Robert Jr. (Sarah), Shauna (Jeremy Thaxon), Marcella, Angelica (Neil Rowlan) and Zach (Sarah); great grandchildren, Ashley Lynn, Alan Michael, Rebecca Jean-Marie, Rosalio "Dookies", Kylee Angelica, Nathanial, Madison Larynn, Findlay Oliver, Siera Lee, Jaxson, Brianna, Ayden, Joseph and Hannah and great-great grandchildren, Richard Rodriquez and Sarah Lynn. Edith will also be remembered by her dear friends, Ginger & Fred Smith, Mary Ellen Fontaine, Barb & Liz Callas, David Marr and Tom Bockart.

The family will plan a Memorial Gathering at a later date to celebrate and remember Edith.
