In Memory Of
Mary Jo Hack Save
1935 - 2020

Mary Jo Hack-Save (McCormick) passed away on May 14, 2020 and according to her; no one needs to know her age. She was a spirited lass with a sharp wit and even sharper tongue. Her love of adventure took her many places; whiskey-drinking in the mountains of Gatlinburg, St. Patrick’s Day kilt inspector in New York and hanging upside down kissing the Blarney Stone of Ireland. If you were lucky enough to be on an adventure with her you were guaranteed a memorable experience. Her love of music was only eclipsed by her talent for playing the spoons or lively squeezebox tunes. She was known to kick up her heels to any hearty Irish jig, two-step strut to Rod Stewarts “Hot Legs” or lately her workout that included “Candy Shop” by 50 Cent.

Of all of the places on earth, her favorite place to be was on the boat beside Papa Max who proceeded her in death. They are now forever cruising together on their boat “My Darling” with the blender going strong full of ice cream drinks and music filling the air.

For us she was the magnificent matriarch of the family clan, children George Hack (Kathleen), Lauren Wuellner (Derek Mohring), Anne Owens (Marcus) and step-children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and all of the McCormick Family. She was blessed to have many great friends that spanned her incredible life. Any gatherings put her at the center of attention where her life of the party attitude and total embracement of a good time spilled out. We all hope to carry on the fine traditions she has instilled in us by raising glass in her name for a fine proper Irish toast!

“May your glass be ever full.
May the roof over your head be always strong.
And may you be in heaven
half an hour before the devil knows you're dead”
