He was preceded in death by his son Isaiah, brother Christopher and father Robert L. Wright Sr.
Robert attended to Calvin M. Woodward High School and graduated in 1979. He excelled in many sports activities through out his school years. Robert began working at the age of 13 through different employers. He was most recently at Northwest Ohio Developmental Center as a Therapeutic Program Technician.
Left to cherish his memory is mother, Lula Mae Wright of Toledo, Ohio, wife Glenda Wright, daughter, Davonna Roundtree of Toledo, Ohio, son, Robert Lee Wright III of Jacksonville, Florida, brother, Archie (Barbara) Merriweather of Demopolis, Alabama, sisters; Belinda Slaughter, Miriam (Charles) Mathews, and Vanessa Wright all of Toledo, Ohio, grandchildren; Danesha Payne, Daniqua Roundtree, Da'Leon Wiley, Da'King Wiley, Da'John Roundtree, Davonna Roundtree and Ja'Mya Jones, special aunts; Lina Lemon and Mora Rogers of Detroit, Michigan and Eva Mae Daniels of Jefferson, Alabama, uncle Robert C. Johnson of Cleveland, Ohio, Harrison (Linda) Hutchison of Toledo, Ohio, Walter (Lois) Wright of Englewood, California, special cousins; Pastor Francine Brown of Toledo, Ohio and Melvina Johnson of Carson City, California, he also leaves to cherish a host of nephews and nieces and great-great nieces. Robert played a huge part in their lives.
Robert Lee was a stand up comedian and he thought he was Barry White. He loved his music and he never met a stranger because he was a big talker. He will be remembered for his big smile!
The family will receive guests on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1502 N. Detroit Ave, Toledo, OH 43607, where his Home Going Celebration will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Forest Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.
